How to set your table
The main rule is that the cutlery is placed so that the guest starts from the outside and moves in towards the plates for each course. Forks should be on the left and knives on the right with the with the edge facing the plate. If the starter is soup, the spoon should be on the far right. Cake fork and/or dessert spoon should be placed above the plate. If both are to be used, place the fork closest to the plate with the tines pointing to the to the right. Place the spoon over the fork with the handle facing right.
